Blog about the Blog

I think that email will eventually be replaced with some form of communication, but I dont feel like it will happen for awhile. Some people might think video emails will be the next step but I dont think that would ever take over emails completly. People thought that video phone was going to become the new standard, but it never caught on completely. There is a more personal feel to emails that make them stand apart from communicating through social media and blogs. Social media and blogs are awesome in their own community building ways, but personal communicartion will always have their place in society.

I am normally not big into the blog community, but for this weeks assignment I followed Smashing magazines blog. What I love about smashing magazine is that they are such a good resource for web designers. They are always posting links to free assets, tutorials, and keep designers up with current trends. In general what is great about blogs is that they create very specific communities for people to communicate within.
