Shannon Weaver Model

When reading about the Shannon Weaver Model I thought that actually seeing what happens with the information you create is important to the designer. All designers should have to learn what actually happens to what you create so have a better understanding of what you can actually do. One article I found about this method applied it to the way you actually speak as well (http://stevefournier01.tripod.com/hist/hist-6.html). A lot of different things go through this process so the designer should be able to understand.

I think designers should have a clear understanding of what happens to the information, However I do not think they need to have in depth knowledge about the subject. The basic way of using the Shannon Weaver Model will help the designer see where their design ends up from where it started.
