I feel that the e-mail is the most appropriate channel of communication for a majority of things, but only once you reach a certain age. I almost never used e-mailing until I got to college where I constantly need to check for important information. And today anytime you sign up for an account or register somewhere, they need an e-mail address of yours. Then they spam you with their information and then they sell your contact information to marketers so they can spam you also. It's almost like you need to create an e-mail account for this purpose, so that all it gets is spam, and you'll never have to check it. Then you'll only get the important information you need in your real e-mail account. But there are positives to e-mailing. The pros to e-mail are the quickness, ease of use, and ease of access. The only cons to it are if you can't readily view emails on the go. Phones are becoming a lot more equipped with e-mail based applications so you can read e-mails on the go.
The blog that I followed was the XBOX 360 blog on xbox.com. The blog posted very frequently and contained some interesting information. I don't follow and am not a part of any blogs besides the one for class but this blog seemed pretty interesting to follow. It was mostly a news feed that provided information about games and the xbox community. Not spam or anything like that but just what gamers are interested in, an online community. I feel that the members of the community would read this blog, comment on it, and then take participation in the news they just read. It was interesting to follow but not something I would do everyday.
