The blog I decide to follow isn't really a blog. It is a website: www.jimmyr.com. JimmyR updates his website everyday so I consider it a blog. It has a lot of valueable information in the site so I wanted to share it with whoever reads my entry. I discovered this website about a year ago. I was looking up tutorials on youtube and found his site. His website is a massive collection of blogs, and other useful educational sites.
Usually I don't follow his site everyday, because it is so overwhelming (with all of the links), but I decided to pay attention to this site this week for the assignment.
This website mostly contains web design and programming links, but it also contains silly pop culture stuff. This week I saw something on jimmyr.com and it was actually discussed in my Digital Design 3 class. A student told the professor that he saw where PCs were going to stop using BIOS, and start using UEFI. I'm not too sure what all of this means, but from the article I read it said it would speed up the boot-up time for PCs. The teacher explained the significance further. It was nice to be one of the ones in class aware of the new developments in our field.
